I have hired Avery for his knowledge, professionalism and flexibility on more than one occasion. He has he ability to break down complex concepts into consumable sound bites, to challenge you within your ability to succeed and to bring you to successful implementation of skills. Avery is a no nonsense professional who will work hard to earn your repeat business; just as he's earned mine.
If you ever have the opportunity to cross paths with Avery, you will truly understand the meaning of the word "passion". I have had the pleasure of working with Avery in both the business world and more extensively in my in the Boy Scouts of America as both Vice Chairman for Orange District and in the Troop and Crew 505 as Scoutmaster and Committee Chair. Avery has the perfect balance of inspiration and perfection in everything he teaches the young folks within our unit. The youth within our unit take his guidance freely, as though they were talking more to a friend than a mentor. He has been a great friend and wonderful partner in the creation of Crew 505. I can say without a doubt, Crew 505 is alive and serving our community through the tireless efforts of it's Advisor, Avery Chipka. The families and myself will be eternally grateful the passion he shows for our children and their growth into adults that respect and follow the Scouting principals.
It’s clearly evident that Avery has a genuine passion for diving and dive instruction. Personally I travel many miles (as I am from Manitoba, Canada) several times a year to take advantage of Avery’s knowledge and capabilities when it comes to dive training and I feel completely confident that my safety is in no way nor has it ever been jeopardized, ever. As the owner of a successful business I know the importance of having good people represent your organization and I can say with complete confidence that Avery would meet or exceed the expectations of anyone in his chosen profession.
Today I continue to practice the skills Avery provided me and am working towards becoming a professional scuba diver so like Avery did for me I can change the lives of people who come to me to learn to scuba dive. It is my hope that one day one of my classes will have as much of an impact on a student as Avery has had on me.
I highly recommend Avery Chipka on both a personal and professional level. Avery has been instrumental in forming the Venture Crew at Troop 505. He has displayed enormous commitment to the evolution of the Crew and to the personal development of each and every Scout in the Troop. He effortlessly provides both Scouting and life training to each individual, no small feat with young adults. Professionally Avery is a competent technician with a wide range of skills. I am pleased to be able to call upon he and his team for technical advice and guidance, as well as the design and creation of materials
Avery is a very motivated and energetic person. He brings alot of knowledge and drive to whatever task is before him. I have found him to take each task seriously and often return results that are beyond expectations well within the time allotted. Avery is always cheerful and ready to assist and also eager to learn. I find him to be some one to count on when things need done when he is helping to plan events for Our local Boy Scout District.
As Silent World prepared to expand into a larger store we promoted Avery to the position of Retail Operations Manager & Recreational Training Director. For the last three years Avery has served a vital part of our team covering all aspects of the retail store, service department, boat operations, recreational training, technical training and professional level training. Avery would be a great addition to any company dive industry or otherwise.
I have worked with Avery on a few occasions. Avery has always gone above and beyond when working in the capasity of an Instructor. He pays attention to the details!
Avery taught my husband and me how to Scuba dive over a long weekend in 2009. We were coming from out of town, and Avery worked with us to ensure we completed the book portion of the training successfully before we arrived so that we could focus on the practical portion of the training that weekend. He was very professional, easy to understand, and personable. He is an excellent instructor, and I highly recommend him for anyone looking to learn how to scuba dive!
This was my fifth PADI specialty course, but my first class with Avery as instructor. I must say he taught a superb class and is the best instructor I've had so far, including instructors from other Scuba certifying agencies. I really feel I received my money's worth from the class and Avery went well beyond the level of instruction I'm accustomed to having. He even took extra time to understand my goals as a diver and draw up a personal progress plan for my diving career. At the end of the class I must say I felt confident that I had learned the PADI skills necessary to safely dive in a dry suit.
In the last year I have had the pleasure of working with Avery. He is highly motivated and professional, and he is very particular when it comes to the adherance to standards. I participated as a student in one of his programs and found him to be an excellent instructor, very knowledgable, and personable. He made the training a great experience. I have the highest respect for Avery as a Technical Diving and Recreational Diving Instructor. I recommend Avery for any position in the Scuba industry where the highest level of training, prefessionalism, and know-how are required.
(Avery) Rock(s)!!! Thanks so much!!
Avery does a good job of motivating his clients, getting them prepped, and ensuring they enjoy the time spent learning new skills.
My husband and I started scuba diving in 2009. Avery guided and helped us discover so much more in scuba diving. He is completely dedicated and extremely knowledgable. I always feel completely safe and well informed when we are scuba diving with Avery.
Avery successfully managed our complex IT systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, & Unix). He was always able to resolve any issues that occurred. He maintained a positive attitude in a difficult and every changing environment.
Avery’s knowledge of Apple networking infrastructure is unrivaled. He was the backbone of the IT staff during his tenure at IPS. His ability to keep the IT network up and running kept us in business.
Avery was my dive instructor for my AOW. So many times these days, instructors will only follow the minimum requirements to complete the class I found Avery to be very commited to make sure that I understood the material and was able to put in to practice the concepts of the AOW course. I also retained Avery as a dive master for my wifes first dive in the ocean after just completing her ow. She had a bit of an issue with the vizability of the ocean. Avery calmed her down and guided her over the next 30 minutes with just enough attention but did not smother her. I will be continuing my diving education with Avery and would recommend him to any person needing either training or a DM
I worked with Avery at IPS where he was part of the IT team. He has just *enormous* knowledge of (to me) arcane IT ins-and-outs that were a huge help more than once when we worked together. Very capable and spots problems very quickly.
Avery was a very capable manager and an expert in cutting edge technology. I got to work with the best in technology working with him. We were on the leading edge of Mac hosted software development and hardware repair. We handled everything from server repair, to home repair to e-Commerce.
Avery has worked with us as an IT trainer and his student evaluations were always very high.
Avery is a font of knowledge and helpfulness. Always willing to help out he was always a phone call, text or email away when we worked together and also always followed up afterwards to make sure that everything was OK.
